Meet Our Doctors
Dr. Gary Raymond, DPM
Dr. Raymond is a native of Gallitzin and a graduate of Penn Cambria High School. He is Board Certified in Podiatric Surgery, a Diplomat of the American Board of Podiatric Surgeons and is a Fellow in the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons.
He obtained his Bachelor of Science from the University of Pennsylvania as an undergraduate and received his Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine from Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine in Philadelphia where he ranked 4th in his class. After completing his surgical residency at the Community Hospital in Lubbock, Texas, Dr. Raymond returned to Altoona where he has been practicing since 1983. He was a member of the Pi Delta Honor Society, Stirling Hartford Anatomical Society and the National Dean’s List. He has been published in the Journal of the American Podiatric Medical Association and the Journal of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons.
He lives in Hollidaysburg with his wife, Donna, and two children, Carly and Alex. Dr. Raymond enjoys tennis, running, golf and coaching basketball.
Dr. Jolene Moyer, DPM
Dr. Moyer is a native of Cresson, PA. She is Board Certified in ankle, rearfoot, forefoot surgery in the American Board of Podiatric Surgery (ABPS).
Dr. Moyer obtained a Bachelor of Science in biology and a minor in chemistry from St. Vincent College in Latrobe, PA. She received her Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine degree from Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine in Cleveland. Dr. Moyer completed a three-year surgical podiatric residency program at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center in Pittsburgh. Her residency consisted of forefoot, rearfoot and reconstructive ankle surgery as well as diabetic wound care. Dr. Moyer is currently the Chief of Podiatry at UPMC Altoona. She also serves as the Surgical Director of Advanced Regional Center for Ankle and Foot Care.
Dr. Moyer and her husband, Jesse, currently reside in Altoona, PA with their daughter Jada.
Dr. Matt Sabol, DPM
Dr. Sabol was born in Pittsburgh, PA. He is Board Qualified in the American Board of Podiatric Surgery.
Dr. Sabol attended Duquesne University, where he majored in biology. He is a graduate of the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine in Cleveland, Ohio. Dr. Sabol completed a three year Residency program through the University Hospitals Health System in Cleveland, Ohio. His training consisted of one year of primary podiatric medical training, which included wound care, biomechanics and pediatrics, as well as two years of surgical training.
Dr. Sabol resides in the Williamsburg area, where he enjoys golfing, bowling and watching the Pittsburgh Steelers with his wife Tawnya and their beloved dogs.
Dr. William Wiedemer, DPM
Dr. Wiedemer is a native of Duncansville, PA. He is Board Certified in the American Board of Podiatric Surgery.
Dr. Wiedmer is a graduate of the Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He completed his two year surgical residency in podiatry at St. Francis Medical Center in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Dr. Wiedemer resides in Duncansville with his wife Suzy and their son Nicholas.
Dr. James Repko, DPM
Dr. Repko is a native of Cresson, Pennsylvania. He is board qualified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgeons in reconstructive and trauma surgery of the forefoot, hindfoot, and ankle.
Dr. Repko obtained a Bachelor of Science from the University of Pittsburgh in biology with a minor in chemistry. He then attended Kent State University’s College of Podiatric Medicine and completed a three-year residency at Mercy Regional Medical Center with additional training through the Cleveland Clinic and University Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio.
Dr. Repko currently resides in State College, Pennsylvania with his wife Dr. Saleena Niehaus. Outside of work, Dr. Repko enjoys working out, running, biking, hiking and fishing.
Dr. Saleena Niehaus, DPM
Dr. Niehaus is a native of Berlin Center, Ohio.
She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Mount Union in Alliance, Ohio, where she received her Bachelor of Science in biology, with minors in chemistry and art. From there, Dr. Niehaus went on to earn her Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine from the Kent State University College of Podiatric Medicine in Cleveland, Ohio. Dr. Niehaus completed her three year surgical residency program at Alliance Community Hospital where she focused on forefoot and rearfoot reconstructive surgery, as well as sports medicine.
Dr. Niehaus enjoys running and CrossFit in her spare time. She is excited to be a part of Advanced Regional Center's team of podiatrists alongside her husband, Dr. James Repko.
Dr. Larry Assalita, DPM
Dr. Assalita grew up in Tamaqua, PA. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery and the American Board of Podiatric Medicine. He is also a Fellow of the American Academy of Podiatric Sports Medicine.
Dr. Assalita earned his DPM at the Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine. He completed Podiatric Surgical Residencies at Oxford Hospital and Metropolitan Hospital Central Division, the latter where he was chief resident in Philadelphia, PA.
He is a former Full time academic and clinical Faculty Instructor of the Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine before relocating to State College where he was in solo private practice before joining our Team of Podiatric Physicians.
He received the Prestigious McQuaide award from the Pennsylvania Podiatric Medical Association for his contribution and continued work with Healthy Athletes-Fit Feet of PA Special Olympics.
Dr. Assalita loves spending time with family and their Dalmation, and enjoys running, cycling and hiking. He encourages everyone to recognize that it does not matter how slowly you go, as long as you do not stop.
